Men Without Women - Haruki Murakami
Type 4
Men without Women is a collection of short stories that tell the narratives of men who have lost their girlfriends and/or wives to either other men or death. Throughout this collection, it's evident that extreme behavior and vulnerability are the main themes. I wanted to capitalize on those themes as my way of storytelling through type. I picked two typefaces and designed five spread styles to help navigate the reader into better understanding of the narrative by helping them explore the themes in a different manner.
